Over 2008-2012 Simon Robert has been looking at modes of representing the effects of Britain's changing economic fortunes and the impact of an era of enforced austerity on individuals and upon society as a whole. Hi approach has been multi-disciplinary, using photographs, image, and text in an attempt to find ways of interrogating our new predicament and the shifting perception of the country's economic and political landscape.

The work explores the economic, political and social effects of the UK recession.

Published on newspaper print it includes a series of landscapes photographs, digital collages and an extract of his ‘Credit Crunch Lexicon’.
