The media informs the world only of violent deaths, which are, unfortunately, always numerous, but they do not tell of the daily life that goes on, even though it too brings a great deal of death, killing the hope of the youth, the sense of belonging to humanity and the dignity of man that derives from holding down a job.

This was written in 2004 in this book, and unfortunately we must accept the evidence that this is, and will continue to be, the condition of the Palestinian people.
