Over the past four years, Ad van Denderen has visited Israel and the occupied territories several times. He succeeded in gaining access to groups that have a decisive influence on the progress of the peace process on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides. This allowed him to give a visual account of life in a world where people are confronted with 'the situation' every day of their existence. In the middle of the hotbed of conflicts, he recorded crucial moments as an eyewitness - without using a telephoto lens.
Peace in the Holy Land is a special document of the times, which reflects the political developments in a part of the world that constantly has everyone's attention. It also shows how people survive under explosive circumstances.
