I had long pointed out the lack of a book about the claims of the No Tav in the Susa Valley, this book by a young author had the determination to give voice to this community.
The book tells, through an intimate and personal narrative, the story of a community of young people under 30 who live in the Susa Valley, one of the wildest Alpine valleys in Italy. This place holds the record for being the most militarized in the country and is home to Italy's longest-running protest movement: the No Tav.
In an effort to avoid the usual narrative, which often revolves around clashes between antagonistic groups, I wanted to focus the story on the young men and women of the movement who have always fought to defend their valley.
