Sergio Dominguez's Fulmination is the second book from the new Argentinian publishing house La Balsa, directed by Federico Paladino. Published in collaboration with Infinito Blanco at a historically poignant time, as economically and socially everything is going downhill (except for the ever-rising dollar), Fulmination presents itself as a disobedient and inflammable object, like a black box stored after the disaster: in it, a visual record of what happened. The silvery cries for mercy, the screams, the colliding flesh and the exploding glass. Let us remember that history is about pauses and money. Although Fulmination is a black box, it is a box that fails because, as such, it behaves atrociously: it does not record past disaster, revealed later, but rather narrates a present past, revealed during. Perhaps what has failed is not the box but reality, and the object, confused, responds as it can.
