The (four) collective photographers took to the streets to find there the most ardent signs of a citizenry that expressed its opposition. Their acronym demarcates a timeline, it is embedded in Chilean memory, because its name refers to the legendary AFI (Association of Independent Photographers) formed under the dictatorship, which managed to make evident, with its invaluable records, the streets, the signs of the epic civil resistance and the cruel practices already recorded by the history of military repression under the dictatorship.
It is a sample of images of the bodies that acted in the streets in two years that brought together a multiplicity of demands within an ultra-deficient society. Anger, weariness, unequal living, made the street their centre, a dissatisfied human centre that multiplied during the outbreak to give rise to a profound and prolonged revolt, or perhaps one could think of a form of micro-revolution that demarcated an unquestionable fact that will be primordial for the political analyses of the 21st century.
