One of the most famous books about Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution, this slim volume has attracted considerable interest amongst collectors, both because it was printed in Cuba and because of its author, Mayito. I would like to highlight the excellent work of the graphic designer Raúl Martinez, who was still a victim of the long repressive campaign against gay people in Cuba. The credit was omitted, or rather half-concealed, much like Raúl Martinez himself, who had been dismissed from his job and was trying to keep a low profile so as not to end up in one of the re-education camps to which Fidel Castro’s government was sending homosexuals at the time.
