This project is an initiative developed through an open call for collaboration at the national level, seeking to provide visual and written testimony of the political and social crisis that occurred in November 2020. A selection of images has been made based on the work of more than 200 photographers from different regions of the country.
This is what it says on the publisher's website but I would like to write more because I really appreciate, for the form and design, this collective book that followed an open call to artists to collect images and stories that tell of the repression and crisis in Peru in 2020. It is estimated that almost 40% of the population participated in one way or another in the protests, after what happened on the afternoon of Monday 9 November, when a coup d'état took place in Peru in the midst of an economic and health crisis. The book, in the publisher's idea, was not to make a work to represent the past but to continue to intervene in the present.
